Colwick Counseling
About Katrina
Our lives are filled with both joy and sadness, comforts and fears, strengths and weaknesses. At times, we may feel that the negativity in our lives is more than we can handle. Those are times when seeking out counseling can provide a great benefit. It is my great pleasure to work with many people to help them achieve their goals, find comfort and peace, and live well adjusted, fulfilling lives. I am blessed to have provided services to those needing help with: childhood disorders, grief, abuse, marriage and family conflict, bullying, stress management, parenting, faith crises, premarital and many more.
I am a Marriage and Family Therapist, Play Therapist, and Level 1 Trained Gottman Therapist. I received my Masters in Counseling, with a 4.0 from Southern Methodist University, specializing in working with children, youth, adults, families, and couples. I received a Bachelors of Science and a Bachelors of Arts from Texas Christian University in Psychology and Art History, minoring in Child Development.
I have been published in the book "Assessment and Treatment Activities for Children Adolescents and Families, Volume 3", due to my knowledge in counseling children, adolescents and families. Since 2008, I have been a teacher at various schools and churches, which I believe gives me an advantage when working with children.
